Engadget just posted the leaks of hot and slickest upcoming Windows Phone 7 series phone by Dell known as “Dell Lightning”. Dell is going to launch this portrait slider phone ( full Qwerty keyboard ) in Q4 2010 , indicating this will be ultimate Windows Phone 7 series launch phone.This slick looking phone sports 1GHz QSD8250 Snapdragon processor, WVGA 4.1-inch OLED display, AT&T or T-Mobile network 3G, 5 megapixel autofocus camera, 1GB of internal flash ROM with 512MB RAM .

Microsoft gave us a shot of what Windows Phone 7 series is all about just in February and released the SDK with emulator on 15th march, the OS and supporting phones will be releasing by holiday season. Not surprisingly enough HD2 which has been been eliminated from the list of eligible phones for upgrade to windows phone 7 series has been seen running unofficial ROM of Windows Phone 7.
The unofficial ROM is the artwork of a team of Russian tinkerers over at htcpedia, they have managed to get the WiFi, GPS and Bluetooth all working and pretty much everything else. However, there are still few issues with graphics drivers and the device is showing some performance issues. HTCPedia team is cracking on the code optimization and is planning to release beta version for masses soon. Imagine it, an HD2 WP7S ROM available before Microsoft and its partners can even launch an official device, with its 5 buttons or not — now that would be something.
