Nintendo is getting some heat from its competitors Sony Ps3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, and Square Enix’s President, Yoichi Wada, believes the successor to Wii will be released in 2011 featuring HD and a new motion controller. All sounds good but releasing a HD device in 2011 may sound a big step for Wii as most of games available on Wii are not HD ready as of now, but when comparing the HD feature on Sony PS3 and Xbox 360, I believe it will be little late for Nintendo to gather the lime light.

Already Sony’s and Microsoft’s gaming consoles are used for playing streaming high definition movies, Great Interactive multiplayer games, intense first person shooters in HD, Blue Ray high definition players and soon both these companies will introduce the next generation controllers like PS3 Wand and Project Natal for xbox 360. Nintendo will have to come up with something really impressive yet again to make the competition bite the dust.
New Wii controller with HD might be an attraction to existing Wii users, but for new adopters Sony and Microsoft’s game consoles will be more attractive after they offer all genre games with motion controllers. But lets see how things turn out to be.
