Acer Aspire 1810T “Timeline” – A notebook with 8 hours battery life
As a laptop user we are often confronted with situations where our laptop’s battery are running out of juice at the most critical moment and there are no power sources around. This situation is quite frequent whenever people are on travel or outside homes and with laptops which have average battery lifetime of 2-3 hours. Finally Acer has announced Aspire Timeline 1810T ( This model will be known as the Acer Aspire 1410 in US/Canadian markets) which boasts 8 hours battery life, a cool breeze isn’t it. Acer The timing of this release couldn’t be any better, with upcoming release of Windows 7 which is more sophisticated OS than Windows XP and provides better and highly optimized power management thus resulting in longer battery timings.
The specs of this laptop are also decent enough for a entry level notebook with thickness of 30 millimeters and weight of 1.4 KG which basically is a netbook form factor but it has much more than a netbook has to offer.
One of the main features of this notebook is processor, Instead of an Intel Atom, Acer used an Intel CULV SU3500 CPU running at 1.4GHz. This is a new chip from the Consumer Ultra Low Voltage line with good potential of being used in many more low consumption devices.

You must be now wondering how much this mean machine will cost, well since this notebook is build in the same chassis as of Aspire One 751, and falls above the form factor of a netbook and under a notebook, the price has to be decent enough. The Acer Aspire 1810T “Timeline” will be available in the colors black, red and blue. The price in US for Acer Aspire 1410 is between $465 to $475. The price in Europe for Acer Aspire 1810T will be 499 Euros which includes price of Windows Vista Home Premium. Another model with black branch with UMTS support, which has an additional expanded to 3 GB of memory will cost 599 euro.
