The race is on between cellular operators in Pakistan. The latest fad to hit the world is that of tablets, and Samsung Galaxy is one cool tablet which nobody wants to miss.
The Android running tablet is giving the famous iPad an run for its money. So Apple gadget owners might be in for a surprise as Pakistan’s largest cellular operator has launched the Samsung Galaxy Tab for Pakistanis. The total damage is Rs. 59,000 which also includes 3 months of free GPRS!! Some details about the Samsung Galaxy Tab have already been covered on Biggtech. The slate has a 7” screen, Full HD video player, supports social networking, Office support and email support etc etc.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is only available at Mobilink Customer Care Centers in major cities like Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, Sukkur, Hyderabad and Faisalabad. This off course is a limited time offer, according to Mobilink and the free GPRS offer is valid for Indigo and Jazz customers only. Customers having Blackberry services are not eligible for the free GPRS service. This is for the first time in Pakistan that a cellular operator is introducing a Tablet device, as previously latest handsets have been introduced by almost all operators but not tablets. Mobilink thus has made a mark, let us see if others follow suit or not. And wouldn’t it be wonderful is someday we have iPad launched over here by an operator?
