Samsung never ceases to amaze me. Their products are innovative and there is always something new and impressive…. ok guys let me tell you yes I am a big Samsung fan. I don’t care what the world says it is just that simple. Samsung B1200 is the new entrant in the mobile arena, it is a GSM phone that is built to withstand the rigors of environment and this includes extreme temperatures, water, dust and shock. By the way it is claimed to be tested according to MIL STD 105F. Well to you it may sound like gibberish but let me tell you what MIL STD 105F is. It is a military standard for testing electronics equipment before induction. This means subjecting the device under test to extreme temperatures from +55 Celsius to -40 Celsius! It also means dropping the set from a height of 4 feet 32 times on floor, putting it under water 4 feet of water for 2 hours besides giving it temperature shocks in the prescribed temp range. Do you get it? To put it plainly this set is meant for military people and for the (extreme) sporty kinds. Boy am I impressed, I guess this was required considering the fact that no mobile phone in the market today has such features and such features are a necessity.

The features and specs are as under:
GSM Quad band with GPRS
Dimensions: 113 x 48.9 x 17.4
Weight: 102.8 grams
Screen size: 1.77"
Screen Resolution: 262 k TFT
Memory: 6 MB (Internal) upto 8 GB Micro SD (External)
Battery: 1000 mAH
Camera 1.3 MP
Included: Browser, WAP, SMS, MMS
Bluetooth, USB 2.0

This is not a normal phone, it has a little of everything and yet a lot of some. Talk time is around 10 hours and the device operates in rain, wind, dust and sunshine. Well done Samsung..keep it up.

Go to Menu > Settings > Phone Profiles > select the profile you have applied > In options select Edit > you will see three tabs, select tab which says Phone sounds, select it > Select Keypad Tone > now finally select Mute from the various options like Beep, Glossy etc. > click Save> again Save. That should do it.
