The newest Blackberry Torch has just managed to hit the stores, and RIM announces to claim that this is the best Blackberry ever. Blackberry Torch is the first Blackberry with a touch screen, slide out keyboard, 3.2 inch touch screen, Blackberry OS6 along with the old email and messaging client. The Torch’s software also includes Visual Voicemail for quickly scanning messages, integration with social networks and downloadable apps. We are hoping that we will have more apps in the Blackberry World compatible to this device, making it more attractive for the users.

What’s more?

The device has a track pad for scanning e-mails, 8 gigabytes of storage (expandable up to 32 gigabytes), a 5-megapixel camera with a flash, headphone jack, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, also including the new Blackberry OS 6. Some new features of pinch to zoom , the torch is fully capable to be used for web surfing. The internal processor is slower than many competing smart phones.

Availability of Blackberry Torch

Like the iPhone, the BlackBerry Torch 9800 will be available exclusively on the second-largest wireless network. AT&T stores will begin selling the Torch on Aug. 12 for $199 with a two-year contract, and the shops will have demo units available starting Tuesday afternoon for customers looking to try one out. Now all we have to see is that does this Blackberry Torch 9800 gains popularity and beats the competition bringing a good business for RIM and thus gain the loyalty of blackberry users.
