Microsoft is finally paying the developers who wrote applications and games for its newly launched mobile operating system ( windows phone 7 ) Marketplace after three months of launch, so far the developers are happy, willing to go forward and stick with WP7 platform. Although many developers wish that the sales figure to be high as competition ( android / iOS ) but that will happen in time.
Interesting fact is that whenever Microsoft choses a game or app as featured and it gets selected, the sales number show significant boost and developers gain, but that is something which is for limited time and requires some real neatly craftiness and creativity. One important issue with games is that if the game is not XBox Live game then it cannot become a featured game, which is a let off for many game developers.
In this regard the developers are relying on the fact that sales and usage of WP7 will flourish in coming days which will result in better sales figures and revenues for them. Also developers are betting on the latest update which will improve search feature of Windows market place for increased visibility.
