There exist many options for making a Collage of your favorite pictures but I found Shape Collage to be very easy and useful. It is a small, free application for making a Collage. All one has to do is point and click and in a few seconds a Collage can be created.

To begin with one can either add pictures by selecting the desired ones, a whole folder of them or even from the Web. After the photos have been added they will be displayed in the photos area as shown in the screenshot below.

Next select the Shape, Size and Appearance tabs in the right top corner and make adjustments to your liking. A maximum of 250 photos can be added to a Collage. One can also set photo spacing by sliding the Photo Spacing slider. Finally click Create and see your Collage created within in seconds. See the screen shot below.

The application is very flexible, by default there are three shapes for making a Collage i.e. Rectangle, Heart and Circle. Besides this one can make customized shapes by making use of the Brush tool form the More in Shape and Size. One can also make a collage of any letter or symbol by selecting Text from the same tab. Other options include setting randomness of photos, shadowing, setting same photo size of all photos and changing the background color. I think this is a very good application for making Collages for free do try it out after downloading from the Shape Collage website.
