Super Mario Bros for Wii is available for $39.99 at Amazon. And in this price it comes with free shipping. The game will not be available before January the 3rd 2010, but that’s not far off is it? Some places might sell it for $49.99 but that depends on where you look for it and might not include free shipping,or even may, who knows.
My advice: hurry up and order it while stocks last.

James Cameroon probably hadn’t imagined the amount of attention and furor his movie Avatar would create. The movie that has already been nominated for 4 Golden Globes and some 9 other nominations, the movie that has spurred creation of an Avatar game for the iPhone has now finally culminated in the creation of a game for PCs.
The gamers are taken in to Pandora, an alien planet beyond anyone’s imagination. They encounter Na’vi people and countless unimaginable life forms. That is when they will find themselves fighting an alien species in an unknown land far away from anything conceivable. The graphics are simply awesome and the species well one has to see them to believe. Let me put it this way, “it is unlike anything you have ever seen before”.
The game is priced at around $46 and is available from Amazon. It is also available for PSP, PS3,Xbox 360 and the Nintendo.

Sometime back it was Symbian OS which gave users the flexibility of installing hundreds of thousands of applications, then iPhone overshadowed everything by making available thousands of applications at the Apple website, now its Android’s turn. The Google based OS for smart phones that is poised to take the world by storm has an equally impressive number of applications lined up for its loyal followers. Some of the most wanted are described here in not so fine detail. The applications/games introduced here have been selected after much surfing and browsing.

Red Laser for the iPhone is one neat application that will save you a lot of hassle and some money in the long run. The application is ideally suited for shoppers who don’t like haggling or prefer the price quoted to them by the shop. The truth is some shops and stores do not display prices and when you walk over to the clerk you are given a handsome bill.
With Red Laser the iPhone simply takes a snap of the bar code, interprets the item and goes online to leading e-Shops like Amazon, after running a search for the item and fetches you the price of the item instantly. This means one does not get the price of the item from the store or shop that he or she is standing in, rather he/she gets a second or even third opinion on the item’s price from other outlets.
This lets one make comparisons and prevents shoppers from fleecing customers. The items are then added to a list automatically which can then be e-mailed to for later reference or for making purchases online from one’s PC. A good shopping aid I must say, try it out. The application has been designed by occipital and is available at the Apple Store for a just $1.99.

Is this the age of specialization or what? I mean just days ago we heard about the TwitterPeek and now there is this dedicated device for reading Wikipedia content called as the WikiReader. It is a 3.9 x 3.9 x 0.8 inches device with a touch screen monochrome LCD screen and three buttons placed right under it. There’s 32 MB of storage on board, besides 64 for firmware and expansion option up to 8 GB via the microSD. The gizmo weighs a mere 127 grams. Two AAA batteries power it and will keep it working for up to 12 months, at least theoretically. It has scratch resistant screen as well as a high quality plastic casing.
Updates can be received by mail on a new microSD card twice a year costing $29, plus taxes and shipping off course. Yes and the device is being shipped worldwide, thanks to Amazon. In the extreme case one might as well download updates to his/her PC and then save them on the microSD card for use in the Reader. The unit is priced at $99.
The big question? Why do we need to buy this thing? Why not access Wikipedia over the Internet using same old PC or even a Smartphone/mobile phone? Portability? nope, this might be useful for kids then. This is a little confusing! And if that be the case then when are we going to have a FaceBook specific device?

AD105 was the year paper was invented by the Chinese. AD 2009 and beyond it is on its way out, thanks to e-Readers which plan on its ouster. One of the best of its kind is the Amazon Kindle which is now shipping internationally. This device will work in about 100 countries around 19th October 2009. The company has also slashed its price by $30 in the US from $259 to $229 only to increase sales ahead of the holidays. However, elsewhere it is going to cost around $279. Amazon took a head start in this sphere and is now perhaps the leader.
The only downside is that e-books form other vendors do not work with it, you have to buy books from Amazon to read them on the Kindle. The Kindle by the way does not support WLAN and works via 3G technology. This means countries that are devoid of 3G networks will not be able to have this facility. The decision by Amazon is good news for travelers who previously could not access Amazon while being outside the US. The device measures 7.5″ x 5.3″ x 0.7″ in size and weighs just 10.3 ounces (Kindle I and II have slight variations).
Users can shop for books with this device from Amazon.com, it has a search facility for finding words or phrases in the vast library, a keyboard to type in the required information, a built-in dictionary, bookmarks, variable text size viewing and a good battery life. Best of all there are around 350,000 titles to choose from including books, newspapers, magazines etc.
