The new Sony A-series Walkman Lineup

There is some serious competition going on in the market nowadays in the music player arena. There is Apple with its huge lineup consisting of iPods, iPod nano and the shuffle, Archos with composite devices, Zune HD from Microsoft to mention a few. Mobile phones with music enabled applications are too many to mention here, in fact there is hardly a mobile phone today irrespective of any manufacturer in the mid-price category that does not have a music player. iPhones…. well that’s a separate category altogether. Nintendo Wii going HD – But does it matter ?

Nintendo is getting some heat from its competitors Sony Ps3 and Microsoft Xbox 360, and Square Enix’s President, Yoichi Wada, believes the successor to Wii will be released in 2011 featuring HD and a new motion controller. All sounds good but releasing a HD device in 2011 may sound a big step for Wii as most of games available on Wii are not HD ready as of now, but when comparing the HD feature on Sony PS3 and Xbox 360, I believe it will be little late for Nintendo to gather the lime light.
