With Google announcing their own URL shortener service http://goo.gl in competition to existing URLshortenter services like bit.ly,cli.gs, tinyurl.com, is.gd, snipurl.com, Tweak, Adjix, Buddurl and more the competition is getting fierce, but the question is which is the best and is here to stay.
My only fear with these services is that if you use one of these in your website or blogs and they run out of business you end up having broken links, now we all know broken links are no good. This is the case world witnessed in the case of http://tr.im/ and other.

Great News for all users of twitter, Mashable has reported that a new Twitter setting called “Tweet Media” is rolling out to some Twitter’s users, “strongly suggesting that the company will soon embed videos and photos in the stream.” . Using this feature you can just peak at your Twitter steam and look at how many people are sharing video and photos.
Tweet Media, as it’s called, was accessed by Mashable and others have been able to access under Twitter’s account settings, according to the report. Apparently, the system asks you whether or not you want to show photos and videos from everyone. It also comes with the following description of the setting: “By default, you’ll only see images and videos shared by people you’re following, and reveal those by people you’re not. Check this box to see media from everyone on Twitter.”
