Nintendo is bringing out a new handheld gaming device that is upsized in comparison to the previous models. The gaming device sports two screens 4.25” in size. It is bigger in size as compared to the present DS and DSi models. It is expected to be launched in Japan somewhere in November 2009 and will be called the DSi LL. In Europe it will be dubbed as the DSi XL and will hit the shelves somewhere in the first quarter of 2010. Possible details about launch in the US are not known.
In comparison to the DS and DSi the DSi LL has almost an inch greater screen, and is 30 mm larger diagonally. Not much of a difference in the thickness though, a mere 2 mm difference in comparison to the DS. It is heavy by almost a 100 grams in comparison to the other models.
It supports the DS, DSi and DSiWare Nintendo software. Other features include DS Card slot, SD Memory card, AC Adaptor, Headphones and Mic. The expected price is around $220.In nutshell the only difference is the larger screen size if that interests the avid gamers is anybody’s guess.
