When you are visiting a country which is not yours and you have gone there to meet someone, looking for job, religious obligations or may be for just a holiday. It’s very important to have some useful apps on your mobile phone to keep you updated with their map, language, culture, etiquettes so that you don’t find yourself out of place. i have gathered some interesting Arabic apps for iPhone, highly useful for people who are visiting Middle East countries such as Saudia Arabia, Kuwait, Dubai etc. If you have any recommendations, don’t forget to drop them in comments.

1- Yamli

 

Yamli, a strange name for iPhone app is a latest from Yamli team, the first online web service in the world to provide an Arabic transliteration tool has released it’s iPhone app for its million user base. Priced at only $3, Yamli is a must have where you’re presented with a text editor of sorts that will allow you to type English letters to phonetically produce Arabic words which can then be sent via SMS or email. Another best thing about the app is that it doesn’t require an Internet connection to work, which really makes a difference for us over-paying Middle Eastern 3-4G subscribers.

    Voip apps are great options to make calls from apple gadgets. I have been using Freephoo which is a free app for iPad. Its calls are very clear and i keep making calls form it coz its so smooth. A few of my friends subscribed to its international pack and agree that its very reasonable. Latest news is that they are in Kuwait and Pakistan too.
