image thumb OnLive Play games on demand without installing locally and beefy hardware Beta accounts available As announced back in march at game developer conference OnLive will allow gamers to play games online without using any hardware. The idea is based on streaming video, Onlive server will let the user connect to their servers using internet, spawn the game of their choice and play, thus only a good internet connection is required. Neat idea if you ask me. This will definitely allow casual gamers to play hardware demanding games without upgrading their PCs.  Cool thing is that the gamers on both PC and mac rigs will be able to enjoy the games.

Well the wait is over and you could be one gamer to find out if this idea is really possible and how good are the services.  OnLive has initiated the Open beta program of their services on their OnLive Blog.

The service right now is only available for US gamers, but I hope as beta phase is over international gamers will also be able to experience the thrill of playing latest game titles via internet stream. Man I sure am excited about this prospect .

Quickly sign up for the beta OnLive site, though there are many factors for you being enrolled in beta program. Check out and perhaps you will get it.
